New Life Assembly Statement Of Faith We Believe:
Ordinances of New Life Assembly
The celebration of Communion, or The Lord's Supper, is the symbol expressing our sharing of the divine nature of our Lord Jesus Christ (2 Peter 1:4); a memorial of His suffering and death; a prophecy of His second coming (1 Cor. 11:26); and is commanded by Jesus to be kept "till He come." The element of Juice and unleavened bread are symbolic of His shed blood and "broken" body. All are welcome to participate if you have made a commitment to Jesus Christ.
The experience of Water Baptism is encouraged for all who repent and believe on Christ as Savior, committing to follow Him. The act of immersion is well-documented in Scripture as the pattern Christ intended for us to follow (Matthew 28:18-19; Acts 10:47-48). We believe in Water Baptism as an outward identification with Christ in His death and resurrection, and symbolic of our death to the sinful nature of man and resurrection, and symbolic of our death to the sinful nature of man and resurrection to new life in Jesus Christ (Rom 6:4). This is a declaration to God, the Church, the world and ourselves that we have died with Christ and have been raised with Him to walk in newness of life (Gal. 2:20).
The Baby Dedication Service is a symbolic act of parents giving their child to God. Recognizing their child to be God's gift to them, the child is then returned to the patents with the responsibility to raise that child in the nurture and admonition of the Lord (Ephesians 6:4).
Accepting the ultimate authority of Scripture, we practice praying for the sick and believing God for supernatural, miraculous healings (James 5:14-15).
Worship at New Life Assembly At New Life Assembly, we worship the Lord seriously, joyfully, and enthusiastically. It takes various forms. Sometimes it is structured, and at other times spontaneous. Sometimes it is loud and other times it is quiet. Sometimes we sing choruses and other times hymns. Our worship involves more than music. Worship is giving attention to the Word of God, singing, loving one another, giving and whole-heartedly serving the Lord. We all carry the responsibility for seeking God. That's why we encourage a lot of participation.
